Hi, I’m Alejandro Lopez, a mortgage advisor with the Brown Team. While I’m relatively new to the industry — having started just last month — I bring a strong foundation in client service and a genuine passion for helping people make confident financial decisions.

Before joining the Brown Team, I worked as a restaurant waiter and bartender throughout college. That experience taught me the value of hustle, attention to detail, and delivering excellent service under pressure. After graduating from the School of Business at SIUE, I knew I wanted to help people better understand complex financial topics and make smarter decisions with their money. Seeing that roughly 40% of U.S. households carry a mortgage, I chose this career as a practical way to have a meaningful impact on families during one of their largest financial milestones.

My approach to client communication is simple: be responsive, honest, and clear. I explain every step in plain English and pride myself on quick replies — most clients hear back from me the same day. I believe trust is built through transparency, so I’m always upfront about what’s needed and what to expect.

What sets my process apart is the extra attention I give to preparation and communication. I focus on getting things right upfront so there are fewer surprises later, which leads to smoother closings and happier clients.

What I love most about this work is the opportunity to help people achieve a major life goal — whether it’s stepping into their first home or lowering their monthly payment so they have more flexibility for their family’s future. Seeing that relief and excitement at closing is what makes all the hard work worthwhile.
